The Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park (SFCFA) in Boca Raton is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the cultural resources in the heart of the community by creating cooperative programming opportunities in music, dance, theater, film, and fine arts in the Count de Hoernle Amphitheater and the Cultural Arts Center in Mizner Park.

Established to create a cultural center for the south Palm Beach County community. Plans for The Centre began in 1997 and, over a period of five years, volunteers worked to raise the capital dollars to build a spectacular performing arts and education center that serves the needs of South County residents and visitors.

Opened in November 2002, the Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts flagship facility, the Count de Hoernle Amphitheater, is a state-of- the-art outdoor amphitheater, colonnade and concert green which accommodates 4,200 people. The amphitheater is now owned and operated by the City of Boca Raton.  In 2011 SFCFA entered into a partnership with the Palm Beach International Film Festival and began presenting events at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center’s new small theater. The Centre serves as a social, cultural and educational center for South County residents and draws audiences from throughout South Florida. Its principal goals are to provide educational and enhanced cultural opportunities for residents of and visitors to South County. Since its inaugural year, the Centre for the Arts has entertained more than one million people.

The Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts presents the Festival of the Arts BOCA, an annual cultural celebration of music and literature. This celebration brings together world-class musicians and authors to our community along with celebrating local other cultural organizations. The Festival's educational program provides students with the unparalleled opportunity to attend lectures, master classes and open rehearsals with these outstanding artists
