Opened in November 2002, the Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts flagship facility, the Count de Hoernle Amphitheater, is a state-of- the-art outdoor amphitheater, colonnade and concert green which accommodates 4,200 people. The Centre serves as a social, cultural and educational center for South County residents and draws audiences from throughout South Florida. Its principal goals are to provide educational and enhanced cultural opportunities for residents of and visitors to South County, and to bring a level of cultural education not currently offered to children in area schools. Since its inaugural year, the Centre for the Arts has entertained more than one million people.

Festival of the Arts BOCA

The Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts presents the Festival of the Arts BOCA, an annual cultural celebration of music and literature. This celebration brings together world-class musicians and authors to our community along with celebrating local other cultural organizations. The Festival's educational program provides students with the unparalleled opportunity to attend lectures, master classes and open rehearsals with these outstanding artists.

Live Nation Events

Live Nation, world’s largest concert promoter, presents pop, rock and jazz events at the Amphitheater year round. Many of today's most popular sensations have graced the Amphitheater stage. From Kelly Clarkson to Melissa Etheridge, Rat Dog to Fergie, Gipsy Kings and Earth Wind and Fire - have all performed at the Count de Hoernle Amphitheater.

City of Boca Events

Some of the most popular events at the Amphitheater are presented by the City of Boca for free! The City’s Summer Music Series, Cinema in the Park and holiday events entertain and engage all ages.

Amphitheater Rentals

The Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts is available for rental to other non-profit organizations to hold their special events from fundraisers like THINK PINK ROCKS to the American Cancer Association Walk-a-thon.The Amphitheater can also be rented for corporate as well as private events.
