ABOUT CFA

The Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park (CFA) in Boca Raton is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a cultural center for the south Palm Beach County community. Plans for The Centre began in 1997 and, over a period of five years, volunteers worked to raise the capital dollars to build a spectacular performing arts and education center that serves the needs of South County residents. The mission of the CFA is to fulfill the promise of downtown as the cultural heart of Boca Raton, Florida.

Opened in November 2002, the Centre for the Arts flagship facility is a state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheater, colonnade and concert green which accommodates 4,200 people. In combination with the 44,000-square-foot Boca Raton Museum of Art, the Centre serves as a social, cultural and educational center for South County residents and draws audiences from throughout South Florida. Its principal goals are to provide educational and enhanced cultural opportunities for residents of and visitors to South County, and to bring a level of cultural education not currently offered to children in area schools. In less than a decade, the Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Count de Hoernle Amphitheater have entertained and educated more than 1.5 million visitors. CFA is dedicated to enhancing the cultural experience for those who reside and recreate in South Florida.
