Author of several best-selling biographies and a memoir of her childhood love for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Doris Kearns Goodwin currently serves as an NBC-TV news analyst as well as a consultant and on-air person for PBS documentaries on Lyndon B. Johnson, the Kennedy Family, Franklin Roosevelt, and Ken Burns’ “The History of Baseball.” She served as an assistant to President Lyndon Johnson in his last year in the White House and later assisted Johnson in the preparation of his memoirs. Goodwin’s books include Lyndon Johnson & The American Dream; The Fitzgeralds and the Kennedys; No Ordinary Time—Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The Home Front In World War II; Wait Till Next Year: A Memoir; and Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.
Her newest book, The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism, was released October 2013.
